The Green Trail

Map of Green Trail exhibits

Are you interested in visiting a real green building? NEXUS is part of the Green Trail, a tour of green buildings across Boston, each accompanied with an audio cell phone tour and a physical exhibit that you can visit to learn more about the different materials and strategies that design professionals are using to build green buildings.

At NEXUS, you can learn about the insulation, electrical wiring, and studs behind our walls and look at a model that includes samples of these materials.

  • Dimpled Studs: uses less raw material, contains recycled content, minimizes landfill waste
  • Recycled Denim Insulation: conserves energy, employs only non-toxic materials, contains post-industrial recycled content
  • PVC-Free Wires: non-toxic manufacturing and materials, RoHS-compliant, used widely in European Union countries as well as required by the state of California.
