For Manufacturers

To create truly sustainable buildings, design and construction professionals need to understand how to evaluate building products, learn about alternatives, and make the case to purchasing decision-makers. That’s why we’ve tackled this issue head-on since 1998. From 2007-2010 more than 15,000 individuals visited the NEXUS Green Building Resource Center and participated in the Green Product Association to learn about what makes a product green and where to  find alternatives to conventional building products.

But the market has evolved, and so have we. Based on market feedback, we have closed the NEXUS Green Building Resource Center and the Green Product Association. We are now focused on the overarching challenge in the building industry: how to improve design and construction companies’ ability to deliver truly sustainable buildings by creating a roadmap for continuous improvement. From the lawsuit against the USGBC claiming that LEED buildings don’t produce increased energy efficiency to new policies requiring better building performance, the industry is starting to take performance seriously and to hold design and construction professionals and building owners accountable. Yet many companies don’t have the time, skills or infrastructure to deliver better-performing buildings. To meet this need, we are focusing all our resources on the growing SPI Certification program and associated education and consulting services.

Beyond this, we continue to offer sponsorship opportunities for manufacturers to reach design and construction professionals and building owners. For more information contact  info@greenroundtable.org.
