Are you a green design, building or operations expert and have teaching experience? Apply to be in the Green Building Speakers' Bureau!
The Green Roundtable / NEXUS and the USGBC MA Chapter have developed a Speakers' Bureau to identify and draw on the expertise of green building professionals around the state and region. The Green Building Speakers' Bureau is a resource for companies, municipalities, non-profits organizations, building professionals, educators and everyone who wants a green expert to speak at their event. It's free to sign up and is a great way to educate the community and meet potential clients.
This beta version of the directory is an organized and searchable version that allows us to bring this important service to our clients as soon as possible, while at the same time helping us to identify any remaining issues before we publish the final version.
The Speakers' Bureau provides leaders in the green building and sustainable development community with a formal channel at the NEXUS Green Building Resource Center to promote their professional speaking services to consumers at all levels.
The Speakers' Bureau is not meant to certify or endorse green professionals. Rather, the purpose is to consolidate and publicize information about a speakers' background, such that the consumer is empowered to make an informed decision when selecting a professional speaker. The intent is to create a resource whereby consumers can evaluate a variety of companies across a range of experience and credentials.
All professional speakers are welcome to participate in this program as long as they respond to all the questions honestly and in sufficient detail. While the online questionnaire focuses in part on the USGBC's LEED rating system & similar systems, formal participation in these programs is not a prerequisite for inclusion in the directory. We want to encourage all legitimate green service providers to participate in this important resource for consumers.
