About the Directory
The Green Service Provider Directory is a free resource for building owners and renters, homeowners, design professionals, facilities managers, policy-makers and all other companies or individuals seeking professional services related to green building, green living or sustainable development. The directory also provides leaders in the green building and sustainable development community with a formal channel to promote their services to consumers at all levels.

The directory is not meant to certify or endorse green professionals. Rather, the purpose of the directory is to consolidate and publicize information about a service provider's background, such that the consumer is empowered to make an informed decision when selecting a provider. The intent is to create a resource whereby consumers can evaluate a variety of companies across a range of experience and credentials.

Which Providers Can Participate?
All service providers are welcome to participate in this program as long as they respond to all of the required questions honestly and in sufficient detail. While the service provider questionnaire focuses in part on the USGBC's LEED rating system & similar systems, formal participation in these programs is not a prerequisite for inclusion in the directory. We want to encourage all legitimate green service providers to participate. We do not include product manufacturers in the directory.

Improvements to the Directory
This version of the directory is a fully functional version that allows users to filter for providers by location, service type, and expertise, and to view search results in a map format. As we launch the newest version of this important resource, we welcome help from users to identify any remaining issues so that we can continually improve functionality.
